Welcome to The Messy Nest, where little hands are free to explore, create and discover through fun, hands-on sensory experiences.
Our sessions are thoughtfully designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, encouraging creativity, confidence and early learning in a safe, welcoming environment.
Every visit is filled with exciting themed activities, colourful textures and opportunities for children to learn through play while making wonderful memories with their families. Best of all, we take care of the mess, so you can relax, enjoy the experience and watch your little one thrive.
What to expect at our Sessions
Each week we feature a unique theme with hands-on activity stations, giving children the freedom to choose how they play. There are no rules, no pressure and no expectations, just plenty of opportunities to discover new textures, colours and materials in a safe and welcoming environment.
Our sessions are child-led and unstructured, meaning your little one is encouraged to explore in their own way while you enjoy watching, joining in and creating special memories together. Best of all, we take care of the set-up and the clean-up, so all you need to do is relax, embrace the mess and enjoy the experience.

Founder of The Messy Nest
My name is Shania and I’m the proud founder of The Messy Nest.
After becoming a mum, I was searching for fun, sensory-based activities where my child could explore, play, make friends and learn, but I quickly realised there wasn’t anything like it in our local community that involved messy and purposeful play. I wanted to create a space where children could be curious, creative and completely themselves, while parents and carers could relax, connect and enjoy watching their little ones thrive.
That’s how The Messy Nest came to life.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where children can explore at their own pace, friendships can grow and families can make special memories together.
Seeing the excitement on children’s faces as they discover new textures, colours and experiences is the most rewarding part of what I do. I can’t wait to welcome you and your little one to The Messy Nest and share the joy of messy play with your family.
